Phuong T. Nguyen is the medical director Hoag Advanced Endoscopy Center. An expert in Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS)/FNA, Dr. Nguyen brings a wealth of experience to Hoag, including a background in pelvic floor disorders, the Secca procedure, motility and celiac plexus pain control.

Combining two sophisticated technologies – endoscopy and ultrasound – EUS provides more accurate diagnosis, staging, and treatment of gastrointestinal, pancreatic, and pulmonary diseases.

Dr. Nguyen received her medical degree from the University of California, Los Angeles And completed a residency in internal medicine at Graduate Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She also completed a fellowship in gastroenterology and hepatology at University of California, Irvine, and an advanced fellowship in endoscopic ultrasonography at University of California, Irvine. She is board certified as a diplomate with the American Board of Internal Medicine and also with a subspecialty in gastroenterology.
