Committed to Helping You Provide the Best Care
Hoag Hospital's mission is to provide the highest quality patient care and in meeting that goal, we equip our patient care teams with the highest caliber, state-of-the-art technology available. Hoag Hospital has consistently made financial resources available to support our growth - committing millions of dollars to medical advancements, research and technologies. Hoag's staffing ratios have continued to increase each year to assure that we deliver the highest quality patient care. Since opening its doors in 1952, Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian has grown from 75 licensed beds to 409, with plans to expand its campus with the addition of a brand new Women's Pavilion.
Continuing to improve the ways in which our healthcare team communicates is also a priority at Hoag. Patient information is perhaps the most critical communication that takes place within a hospital. Hoag was one of the first in Orange County to introduce a new, comprehensive computer-based system for the documentation of clinical patient information - the Open Electronic Chart. This computer-based charting system replaces much of the written data with easily accessible computer-input information allowing our patient care teams quick, convenient access to patient data anywhere in the hospital. This system also increases clarity of communication and allows many different healthcare providers to directly access patient data at the same time.
It is easy to see why Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian continues to receive top marks nationwide. Hoag offers a level of personal care and advanced treatments that are unsurpassed among Orange County's healthcare providers. It is this careful balance of technology, growth, expertise and sensitive care that contributes to Hoag's national reputation as a leading-edge community hospital.
