Hoag Hospital has developed a way to enhance the growth of what is already the top-rated heart program in Orange County. How? By bringing together our knowledgeable physicians and nursing staff specializing in cardiology, cardiac surgery, interventional cardiology, interventional radiology and vascular surgery. Together, the staffs of Hoag Heart Institute and Hoag Vascular Services have created a new expanded Center of Excellence appropriately named Hoag Heart & Vascular Institute.
This enhanced institute is a positive advancement as Heart & Vascular specialists treat the underlying diseases of atherosclerosis (hardening of the arteries and a major cause of coronary artery disease), carotid artery disease (which can cause strokes), aortic aneurysms, peripheral vascular disease and other cardiovascular conditions.
