The Health Resource Center
Hoag Hospital's Health Resource Center, located on the first floor of the Sue and Bill Gross Women's Pavilion, is a library dedicated to providing patients and families education on health issues such as nutrition, wellness, women's health, heart and vascular care, cancer support, stress reduction, fitness assessment, and much more.
Hoag's resource center is an all-encompassing center that combines progressive technology with the most current and varied printed materials, audio tapes and CDs.
Interpreters
Translation services are available for a wide variety of languages. Please ask a nurse if you would like an interpreter.
Services are also offered for the hearing impaired. Hoag works with several agencies to ensure our patients feel comfortable in their surroundings.
Telecommunication devices (TDD) for the deaf are available. Please ask a nurse to obtain a phone, if one is needed.
Prayer Room
Located on the main floor across from the Maternity elevators, the Prayer Room is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Special services and religious holiday services are arranged by Pastoral Care Services at 949/764-8358.
Physician Referral
Hoag Physician Referral Service offers free information about the education and specialties of more than 950 Hoag physicians. A Physician Referral representative is available to answer your questions 24 hours a day, seven days a week at 949/764-DOCS (3627).
