Acute Myocardial Infarction (AMI) Care

It is important that patients receive ALL the recommended elements of care they should.

Patients who experience a heart attack should get:
  • Aspirin at arrival
  • Aspirin at discharge
  • ACE Inhibitor or ARB for Left Ventricular Systolic Dysfunction (LVSD)
  • Beta Blocker prescribed at discharge
  • Fibrinolytic medication given within 30 minutes of arrival
  • PCI procedure within 90 minutes of arrival
  • Advice to quit smoking
