General Information regarding Auxiliary Membership

Eligibility for Membership

Any person interested in the Auxiliary is eligible to apply for membership.

Classes of Membership

    A. Active Membership: All voting rights of the Auxiliary are vested in the active members. At Auxiliary meetings, each active member is entitled to one (1) vote. There is no right of proxy. To retain active membership status, a member contributes a minimum of fifty (50 hours per fiscal year (Beginning April 1) on valid Auxiliary service and pays dues in accordance with Article III, Section 5 herein. A member who does not contribute the required fifty (50 hours) is not eligible to continue on active-member status and must transfer to another membership classification.

    B. Copa de Oro Membership: Copa de Oro members financially assist the hospital by payment of dues in accordance with Article III, Section 5 herein, and are entitled to all privileges of active membership but are not required to contribute hours.

    C. Opa de Oro Life Membership: Opa de Oro Life members financially assist the hospital by payment of dues in accordance with Article III, Section 5 herein, and are entitled to all privileges of active membership but are not required to contribute hours.

    D. Junior Auxiliary Membership: Junior Auxiliary members must be fourteen (14) through eighteen (18) years of age and their applications must be approved by the Junior Auxiliary advisor and the student board. To retain Junior Auxiliary membership status, a member must contribute a minimum of nine (9) hours per month and pay dues in accordance with Article III, Section 5 herein.

    E. Lifetime Membership: Lifetime members are those who have volunteered ten thousand (10,000) hours of service. They are entitled to all privileges of active membership and pay no dues.

    F. Sustaining Membership: Sustaining members financially assist the hospital by payment of dues in accordance with Article III, Section 5 herein and are entitled to all privileges of active membership but are not required to contribute hours.

Dues of Members

Annual membership dues are payable by April 1. A member who fails to pay dues by May 1 is delinquent. New members who are accepted for Auxiliary membership between January 1 and March 31, and pay their dues upon being accepted for membership, are not required to pay additional dues until April 1 of the following year.
    A. Active Membership: annual dues of ten dollars ($10)

    B. Copa de Oro Membership: donate one hundred dollars ($100) annually

    C. Opa de Oro Life Membership: make a one-time donation of one thousand dollars ($1,000)

    D. Junior Auxiliary Membership: pay annual dues of five dollars ($5)

    E. Lifetime Membership: pay no dues

    F. Sustaining Membership: pay annual dues of twenty-five dollars ($25.00)
