Paul Selecky, M.D., FACP, FCCP

Dr. Paul Selecky has been an important member of Hoag Sleep Disorders Center since its opening more than 14 years ago. During this time, he has chaired numerous hospital committees including the Ethics Committee, Critical Care Committee, Infection Control Committee and the Division of Pulmonary Medicine. As medical director of the sleep center, Dr. Selecky was instrumental in the recent expansion that nearly doubled the size of his facility.

Dr. Selecky’s professionalism and body of work has garnered him numerous awards, including the Pottenger Award in 1993 from the American Lung Association of California for outstanding volunteer service in the prevention and control of lung diseases and, in 1997, he received the Volunteer Leadership Award from the American Lung Association.

In addition to sharing his leadership and expertise with the staff and patients at Hoag Sleep Disorders Center, Dr. Selecky also volunteers his time to various organizations such as the American Sleep Disorders Association, American Association of Respiratory Care, American Lung Association and the National Association for Medical Direction of Respiratory Care.

When not seeing patients at Hoag Sleep Disorders Center, Dr. Selecky can be found doing research for an upcoming medical journal, book or publication he is writing. He has also been an active member of the Respiratory Care Examining Committee, Board of Medical Quality Assurance and the Department of Consumer Affairs for the State of California.

Dr. Selecky received his Bachelor’s and medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease and is a certified member of the American Board of Sleep Medicine.

Robert A. Moore, M.D.

Clinical Polysomnographer and Staff Neurologist
Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian

Dr. Robert Moore has been a physician at Hoag Hospital for nearly 20 years. During his tenure, he has been a part of the Sleep Committee, Ethics Committee and is the current Chair for the department of Neurology and Psychiatry. Dr. Moore is also a key member of the staff at Hoag Sleep Disorders Center.

Dr. Moore also holds numerous distinctions outside of Hoag Hospital including being a Diplomat of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, National Board of Medical Examiners and an Accredited Clinical Polysomnographer since 1987. He is an active member of many organizations including the American Academy of Neurology, Orange County Neurology Society, California Medical Association and the Orange County Medical Association.

While not seeing patients at Hoag Sleep Disorders Center, Dr. Moore maintains a private practice focusing on Neurology and is an Adjunct Clinical Faculty member at the University of California, Irvine Medical Center.

Dr. Moore received his Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Yale University and went on to receive his medical degree in Neuroscience from the University of San Diego in 1979.

Stephen Seink, M.D., F.C.C.P.

Dr. Stephen Seink is the newest staff member at the Hoag Hospital Sleep Disorders Center. Having recently relocated to Southern California, Dr. Seink’s practice is open to new patients.

Dr. Seink is a Diplomate of the American Board of Sleep Medicine and board-certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, and Critical Care Medicine. He is an active member of many organizations including the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, American College of Chest Physicians, American Thoracic Society, and American Medical Association.

While not seeing patients at the Hoag Sleep Disorders Center, Dr. Seink maintains a private practice focusing on Pulmonary Medicine.

Dr. Seink completed his Internal Medicine residency at Summa Health System in Akron, Ohio and Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine fellowship at the University of Illinois Medical Center. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Akron and his medical degree from the Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine.
