Pregnancy: I Think I'm Pregnant
If you have missed a menstrual period and are experiencing one or more of the following symptoms, you could be pregnant.
- Spotting or a very light menstrual period
- Breast tenderness
- Nausea
- Feeling bloated
- Moody
- Frequent urination

As soon as you confirm that you're pregnant, call and make your first doctor's appointment. These visits will allow your doctor to keep a close eye on how your pregnancy is progressing. Pregnancy and birth are completely natural, however, there can be risks involved so it's important to make an appointment with a qualified physician. Your first visit will consist of reviewing your medical history and a physical exam, lab work, estimating your due date, receiving information about prenatal classes and making a schedule for your prenatal care. Visits with your physician are a good opportunity to ask questions and relieve fears that you may experience during the next nine months.
